For, boys and girls, aged between 14 and 17 years, school years 8 to 11, who show some qualities of decency, courage, persistence, sincerity and application in everyday life, which deserve further development. The principle aim is to communicate to young people a series of ideas, problems and social experiences which will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards, and to broaden their horizons culturally, socially and academically in a fun and relaxed environment.
Important information
The Camp is held Friday 7th to Sunday 9th October 2011 at Blue Gum Lodge, Springwood and is sponsored by accepting Rotary Clubs at a cost of $230.00 per Youth nominee.
Rotarians are then invited to join the Dinner on Saturday night at a cost of $20.00 pp
Parents and Rotarians are invited to Sunday Lunch & Certificate Presentation at a cost of $10.00 pp (Lunch RSVP forwarded through Club, lunch payment to be forwarded through attending nominee)
Rotarians are responsible for organising transport. Parents may deliver and/or pick up.
Late applications cannot be accepted due to demand.
Nominees, unable to attend for the camp’s entirety, are requested not to be sent
Refunds are not available for nominees failing to turn up
Critical Dates
· Friday 9 September 2011: Applications close to Liverpool West Club
· Friday 16 September 2011: Rotary Club to have forwarded applications together with covering cheque for nominees and Saturday Night Dinner to District by.
· Friday 23 September 2011: Communicate confirmation of acceptance and transport arrangements (School Holidays also commence 23 September0
· Friday 7 October 2011, 12 noon; Camp registrations and payment of Sunday lunch monies for parents and or Rotarians wishing to attend Sunday lunch..
· Saturday 8 October 2011, 6.00 pm: Formal dinner includes Rotarians who have advised and paid with lodgement of applications
· Sunday 9 October 2011; 12.30 pm Lunch, 1.30 pm Presentations, 2.00 pm Departures
· Tuesday 11 October 2011 has been set aside for a presentation night to Liverpool West
