Impressions are made on youth exchange that last a lifetime. This letter was received through our contact us on our website on 21 July 2011, some 33 years after the event and I was only to pleased to pass it on to then hosts John & Joyce Mula;
I was an exchange student in 1978; I will love to get in contact with John Mula and his lovely Joyce, Tony and Jacky Everett, and all the beautiful people that hosted me, with great love...

Many thanks for forwarding Lupita’s email to us. We have since been in touch with her and it has brought to us a lot of fond memories of her time with my family. I am forwarding her email to you for the club records. It is hard to believe it has been 33 years since she was here and that she is now a 50 year old woman.

First of all I want to tell you that I love you like I was yesterday with you, swimming with all the kids at the back yard!!!
I remember all my families with such a great aggrandizement and love, the people at Rotary club, at Casula's high school, all the exchange students, it was very, very beautiful experience
I'm now a 50 years old happy woman, married with Jesus Ruben Lucero Barrios, he is the C.O. of the local TV channel 12 televisa, I have a nice, good looking, good mannered, very intelligent, lovely etc. Etc. Etc. son, called after his father Jesus Ruben, he is fourteen years old, he studies high school and is bilingual, yes... He speaks really good English, not like his mother. Ha-ha
I did finished university, then I worked as a TV anchor for 23 years, and now I work in the local counsel as the mayor's wife assistant
I know the "kids" now are married with children and that is the reason I want to know all about this past 30' years...
I send you all my love, I hope you have the time and wishes to get in touch with me again....

Like you did say, it was a really life experience, I have such a great love for you people, your country and all my families....
It was really hard to me, to know that tony Everett passed away, and also Greg peel... I have those deep feelings and somehow I was wishing everything was the way I remembered,
I want to tell you that the exchange program changed the life of a young Mexican girl... that used to sit at all your meetings listening to the important men from the Liverpool West Rotary Club
