EVENT REVIEWS – From 9 September 2011 forward

Fri 9 Sep 2011 - Tree of Life – Casula Powerhouse, 7 pm $20 pp

Developed and performed by young refugees from the South-Western Sydney, the performance will be a sharing of the joys, sorrows, terrors, relief and humour of their refugee experiences. This work represents the culmination of drama and storytelling workshops over the last 5 months and is part of Treehouse Theatre’s ongoing project to assist young refugees to honour their past and build resilience for the future. In aid of Diabetes, Alzheimer’s and the Garvan Institute, to be held at the ROMA Function Centre, 167a Northumberland Street, Liverpool. Dress – Formal/Black Tie with Mask. Our Golf Day will be held on Wednesday 19 Oct 2011 at Camden Lakeside Golf Resort with proceeds going to Australian Rotary Health in support of medical research. $100 Golf, drinks and lunch, $50 Dinner, $125 for both, Sponsorship $1,000.00 for 4 persons includes all. Carts provided.

Vocational Services Director Jock Cimino is calling for nominations from the community of people who give that little extra in the performance of their jobs, it may be that little bit of extra help to customers; it might be for pride in their jobs. 8,9,10 Dec 2011 – Ted’s Rotary Xmas Adventure – Bateman’s Bay

The annual Xmas adventure will be to Batemans Bay over the weekend of 8, 9 &10 Dec 11. Members are asked to indicate their interest by Fri 9 Sep to enable sufficient bookings at this time. Full details of cost and accommodation have been provided and are online here. Members, partners and family are invited to attend for the full three days, or overnight on Saturday, as convenient. There’s plenty to do, including Mogo Zoo.
