Sat 26 Nov 2011 – Rotary / VVP Get-Together – BBQ at Cauchi Residence from 6 pm

All Rotary and Vietnam Vision members and volunteers, family and partners are invited to a social get-together to reflect on and celebrate achievements during 2011. Hosted by Rotarian and VVP Volunteer; Joe Cauchi, at his residence of 14 Riverview Rd Pleasure Point. RSVP by 21 November 2011 to joecauchi@bigpond.com Reminder – as usual, Joe will be out of the country from mid October till 20 Nov 2011. The current buzz is we are waiting on confirmation of an Australian Air Force Serviceman that deals in the recovery and identification of soldiers from past missions around the globe. Either way you may expect superb fellowship will be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere for our last meeting this calendar year to be held at LCC.

Business sessions restricted to Friday and Saturday only. Sunday will be Stay and Play. Stay on site at Panthers at the Chifley Hotel and take in a casual breakfast on Sunday, play golf, visit local attractions, take in lunch on the river or join us at Penrith Lakes for a Sail ability demonstration and trial. Rotary International Convention Bangkok, Thailand Sun 6 to Wed 9 May 2012

Immediate Past President Peter Beadle has advised he and wife Margaret will attend the Rotary International Convention in Bangkok in the coming month of May. Peter has then offered to look into travel and accommodation requirements for other members that would like to join them for this event. Accommodation is being considered at the Pathumwan Princess Hotel situated in the heart of BBK main shopping at 444 MBK Centre and currently listed on the Rotary Accommodation site at 4200 Baht (approx:$140.00 Aus) including full American breakfast. The Convention is then by the nearby Impact Arena with a free shuttle service providing transport. Early Bird rates are available for registration at the conference with best rates available by 30 November. Please do not delay contacting Peter if you would like to join as bookings will be attended to sooner rather than later.
