CLUB REVIEW & ANNOUNCEMENTS
Welcome George Germanos as our Newest Member
George is an accountant and family man, married to wife Karma and operating his business from Prestons. George is active in networking groups in the local community and is already making his mark at Liverpool West with participation at our golf day and representing the club for the presentation of School Certificates. On our Pride of Workmanship Night we are not only proud to induct George as a member that injects energy and invigoration in to the club, but at just 25 years of age, he brings the average age of Tuesday night members down below that of our Tuesday members meeting for lunch at our satellite Club, which makes us all feel a lot younger. Well done George and we look forward to your engagement and fun in fellowship.

.Our thoughts remain with Pat and June. I spoke to pat on the 17th of November when he was on his way to the airport to pick up son Greg returning from Hong Kong to be with his mum for an operation that was scheduled for the same day, but postponed due to the taking of aspirin thinning the blood and causing concern as to haemorrhage. The decision was then pending as to delay the operation for a week or for 2 weeks so that June may have the Doctor of her choice perform the operation. June had been transferred to Prince Alfred for the operation and may be transferred back to Concord in the short term pending on the decision. By now June has already spent 7 weeks in hospital and Pat may be looking forward to seeing if Greg’s culinary skills are any better than his. Pat will certainly be looking forward to sharing some frustration, but noted Junes sisters have been good calling in at his home from time to time. We then still look forward to June having her operation and making a full recovery and hope that same will not be drawn out too much longer.

Exceptional Dieting Results in only 2 weeks
An Irishman was terribly overweight, so his doctor put him on a diet.
'I want you to eat regularly for two days, then skip a day, then eat regularly again for two days then skip a day.
Repeat this procedure for two weeks.
The next time I see you, you should have lost at least 2½ kilograms.'
When the Irishman returned, he shocked the doctor by having lost nearly 25 kilograms!
'Why, that's amazing!' the doctor said, 'Did you follow my instructions?'
The Irishman nodded.
'I'll tell you though, by jaesuz, I t'aut I were going to drop dead on dat third day.'
From the hunger, you mean?' asked the doctor.
'No, from the bloody skippin'
Five Rules to Remember in Life
1. Money cannot buy happiness but it's more comfortable to cry in a Mercedes than on a bicycle.
2. Forgive your enemy but remember the so and so’s name.
3. Help someone when they’re in trouble and they will remember you when they're in trouble again.
4. Many people are alive only because it's illegal to shoot them.
5. Alcohol does not solve any problems, but then again, neither does milk.
