Wed 18 Jan 2012 – Tri Club Golf Social – Tree Valley Golf Course, Cross Roads Liverpool

To be hosted by Liverpool Greenway. Social Event Open to all.

Golf: Hit off between 2.30 and 3 pm. Cost: nil.

A catered dinner will be held around 6 p.m. (cost $25 = own drinks). Tony Scarfone has asked for number as soon as possible so they can finalise the catering. Gary Halliday is collating commitments.

Tues 21 Feb – Collingwood Hotel, Cnr Hume Hwy & Hoxton Pk Rd Liverpool, 6.00 for 6.30 pm

Charles is requesting that partners be invited to experience the Collingwood as a potential alternative venue for our regular meetings. The night is then to be run as a normal meeting with a Guest Speaker to be advised.

The meat tray and breakfast tray remain on order and are to be collected from the Catholic Club prior to the meeting along with other parafanalia such as badges and buckets. Charles will be looking to finalise numbers as early as our normal meeting on Tuesday 7 February as we are then away for 2 meetings in a row with our meeting from 14 Feb having been transferred to Wednesday 15 Feb for the Movie Night.

Sun 11 Mar – GSE Lunchtime Greeting Function (TBC)

President Tony Scarfone of Liverpool Greenway is looking into holding a lunchtime greeting function for the incoming GSE Team at Trattoria La Vigna Restaurant: 3 Argyle St, Camden. Details are yet to be advised. All Rotarians are welcomed to join and help make team members feel welcome.

Tues 13 Mar 2012 – Cultural Tour & 7 Club Joint Presentation of Inbound Finnish GSE Team –

Tuesday morning will be with the Rotary Clubs of Cabramatta, Liverpool West and Liverpool West Satellite Club and include a temple at Canley vale, cultural tour of Cabramatta and Lunch with the Satellite Club at the Bar Luck restaurant, allowing some free time that afternoon, prior to a 7 club Joint Presentation. David Butterfield of Cabramatta will lay the ground work and discuss with President Ted Mlynarz and/or Secretary Charles Hili of Liverpool West.

Tuesday night, 6.30 pm March 13 is then the joint 7 Clubs presentation night which will be held at Comfort Inn Hunts, Crossroads Liverpool, (9 York Street, Casula) Harry Hunt OAM of Liverpool Rotary Club and President of Liverpool Chamber will generously provide a buffet meal at $30.00 per head and include a bottle of wine on each table. We then look forward to each of the 7 Rotary Clubs transferring their meeting of the same week to join us and will ask Harry to invite Chamber Members. We will also invite Mayor Wendy Waller to join us and offer a Mayoral welcome and speak a little about Liverpool. RSVP is then requested by Wednesday 29 February 2012 to John Gibbs on 0425 340 190 or email johngibbs@exemail.com.au The Rotary Club of Liverpool West will run the raffle on the night as it would have otherwise been their turn to run the great debate which has been replaced by this night. Net proceeds may go to Polio Plus excepting where the GSE committee has determined other expenses should be covered. It is then envisaged that the raffle will pay for meals of guests including GSE Team members, 1 host per member and the Mayor if we are successful with our invitation. Stay on site at Panthers at the Chifley Hotel and take in a casual breakfast on Sunday, play golf, visit local attractions, take in lunch on the river or join us at Penrith Lakes for a Sail ability demonstration and trial.
