I turned up to last night’s meeting, holding onto the faint hope that our ever reliable Peter Houghton and Pat Murray had somehow concocted a guest speaker to entertain us. However, the guest didn’t materialise and we were left to enjoy each others fellowship instead.
In the rare absence of a guest speaker, Peter Houghton could not be dissuaded from reliving his experiences of his recent flight over Lake Eyre. Likewise, David Goldston shared an anecdote of his early days at university and a prank which backfired on the perpetrators them selves. In all, it was a relaxed evening with the toll of our club’s schedule starting to show in the faces of many members, especially mine.
Charlie.
