Rotary Club of Liverpool West – Satellite Club
Meeting commenced 1:00pm, 3 August 2010
Venue: Bar Luck Restaurant, Cabramatta
Attended by: Dr Phouc Vo, Mrs Catherine Vo, Mr Trung Chinh Dang, Dr William Trinh, Mr Charles Hili, Mr Jim Leahy and Mr Ted Mlynarz.
Apologies: Dr Le Duc Hong and Mr Robert Groat.
1. Cabramatta BBQ – continuing discussion with council has resulted in the BBQ being shifted to Sunday 26 September 2010. Further details to be provided.
2. Full Moon Festival for Children – to be held in Cabramatta on Sunday 19 September 2010 and VVP/Rotary are planning to operate a stall for community education and probable donation purposes. To be confirmed.
3. VHSSAV Annual Charity Ball – held Friday 30 July 2010 in Melbourne, a good time was had by all VVP representatives who attended with a very informative presentation made by Troy explaining the operations of and getting the message across. A special thank you to the VVP representatives attending. (Photos from the occasion coming soon to a computer near you!)
4. Police Officer of the Year Presentation Night – this event to take place on 21 September 2010 at the Liverpool Catholic Club.
5. Rotary District Conference – this event to take place from 18 to 20 March 2011 and will be held in Bathurst NSW. The theme for the event is “Rock’n’Roll”. (Charles is being groomed to attend as Roy Orbison).
6. Members of the satellite club were invited to attend occasional meetings of the Liverpool West Rotary Club as well as attending Board meetings.
7. A Liverpool West events calendar to be provided to satellite club members who are welcome to attend at any meeting or event which may be of interest.
