Rotary Club of Liverpool West Inc.

We had 26 persons attend our last meeting to be held at the Catholic Club for the 2010 Year including a surprise visit organised for Kay Morris, by and then accompanied by her friends Linda Lambourne, Ingrid Little, Jan Crowfoot and Belinda Crowfoot. The evening revolved around a presentation by our youth exchange student Henni Niemi on how she spent her first five months in Australia and a presentation of gifts for Kay as organised and acquired by Kay’s friends with additional cash added by Liverpool West and an intricate ring made by member Anthony Galea.
The very next day Linda Lambourne sent this letter of appreciation to our Community Services Director Shann O’Connell;
Dear Shann,

Thank you so much for all your endeavours in making this Christmas that little bit easier for our friend Kay.

Kay is a beautiful person and not someone who deserves to have been dealt these tragic circumstances. She is someone who always puts others first so it was very beautiful to see all your members their last night to support someone that although they did not know personally felt empathy and came to support our friend in need.

I have been a little disheartened this year with our society at times but to be in the Garden Room last night with your members whereby I felt this complete calmness surrounded by good people is just something you rarely experience these days.

Kay was overwhelmed with Liverpool West Rotary's generosity and support. Would you kindly once again thank Mr Hili, a very humble Mr Anthony Galea, Ted and the BBQ bandits, your President and all members of your club! I am so grateful you all did this for our friend Kay.

To you Shann, thank you so much as I do realise the effort you have to extend yourself to make arrangements fall into place when organising such gatherings.

May you and all members of Liverpool West Rotary have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy this special time with your beautiful families.

You are amazing people.   Look forward to speaking with you next year.

Linda Lambourne
