We held our fundraising Dinner on Saturday 26 February which raised approximately $55,000.00. We were suitably wined and dined by Comfort Inn Hunts Liverpool as the Major Sponsor and suitably entertained with an 11 minute performance of a medley from the Glenda Yee Dancers and 2 half hour performances from internationally acclaimed Drew Ashley who arrived back in Australia on Saturday morning to lend his support, flying off again on Monday morning. With a clash of other engagements for members, we managed a table of 10 including Trisa Rudling and Henni Niemi who sported off the live auction prizes. Bob Groat sponsored the event for $1,000.00 and Jim Rudling donated an adult Surf Ski which sold through the live auction for $550.00 to our very own Web Master Daniel Doherty of Merlin FX. We also supplied a weekend for 2 to Wisemans Ferry Retreat which sold for approx $330.00 and a Bulldog’s Jersey which sold for $400.00. Bob Cook picked up a pink drill in the raffles and wife Eileen successfully bid for a Charcoal BBQ. President Peter picked up a whisky fragrance pack from the raffle. Our club also created promotional flyers for the night and produced the certificates of appreciation presented to the TAFE Students who waited on us. Congratulations to June Young and Harry Hunt, whose efforts are to be commended along with the efforts of Tony Scarfone, Shaun Jackson, David Ball, Margaret Favelle and George Roman. Congratulations then to our sponsors and donors including the Liverpool Council who put $15,000.00 towards the night
