We held our 9th Circus Extravaganza over 4 days from 2 to 5 April 2011 and thanks to the generosity of the business community we were able to provide 14,000 free tickets to the ten shows.
The Circus performers were again of very a high quality and were from Ashton Entertainment (part of the famous Ashton Circus family). Jan, Brasil, Chantelle, Tamara, Remi, Jenny, Bradley and John-Paul kept everyone either amused with their antics or amazed with their feats of skill. Congratulations and thank you to the group. Ashton Entertainment can be contacted via email jan@ashtonentertainment.com.au .
The production, again professional, was by Summersault Productions with a lot of effort by Emma (the Organiser) and Sandro (Mr “Glowie”).
We are also indebted to Liverpool Catholic Club for the use of their grounds and appreciate their continued support for this and other ventures by our club.
The Children and other guests were treated to a first class show which was enjoyed by all. It is no easy task to get up to 1,400 guests seated in a tent for each session – we achieved this with help from Club members and the staff and volunteers from Drug Arm (a drug and alcohol outreach service operating from Fairfield and supported by the Club) – Louise, Briana, Rose, Andrea, Nadine, Maree, Brad, James and V.J., you helped made the shows run like clockwork.
The opening of each show was shared by Rotarians Jim Rudling, Max Bunter and Jane Thompson (also a representative of Drug Arm).
We, with the continued support of our sponsors, the performers, the producers and my fellow Club Members will be on again in 2012. The tentative dates and times are:-
· Saturday, 31 March 2012 – 10:30 am; 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm.;
· Sunday, 1 April 2012 – 10:30 am; 1:30 pm & 4:30 pm;
· Monday, 2 April 2012 – 10:00 am & 12:30 pm.; and
· Tuesday, 3 April 2012 - 10:00 am & 12:30 pm.

Dear President Peter Beadle, Thank you very much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy the circus performance at Catholic club. All our students and staff enjoyed the circus and I think this was the best performance of all the circus shows that we have seen before. On behalf of staff and students of Special Education Unit at Cecil Hills High School I would like to extend my gratitude for giving us your continued support and help to our students and we are grateful to you and the Rotary Club. Sincerely
Mrs Mary Lukose HT Special Education Cecil Hills High School Tel (02) 9822 1430 (W)
