We will be based at All Saints Senior Catholic College at Leacock Lane, Casula and generally require a minimum of 8 Volunteers to drive groups of students to designated areas. We will also serve a sausage sizzle. Let Gary know if you are available.
Tues 31 May 2011 – Miller College Awards Night – 6.30 for 7 pm, LCC Function Room 2. - $40.00 pp
Our 31st annual Awards night is a partners, guests and friends night. Nominees for outstanding achievement will be treated to a meal for themselves and a guest and will be presented with a plaque and a cheque for a $250.00, before unveiling the overall winner who will receive an additional $250.00 and have their name and faculty added to the honours list board on display at the College.

Tues 7 June 2011 – Finland Youth Exchange Student Henni Niemi – 6 for 6.30 pm, LCC
Our Youth Exchange Student Henni Niemi visiting from Finland makes her Final Presentation on the year that was before returning home on or about 20 June. We will also have as a guest of our Club Mr Frank Hankin of St Vincent de Paul Liverpool Night Patrol. The Liverpool night Patrol runs 5 nights per week, Tuesday to Saturday feeding 50 to 60 homeless a night and providing blankets during winter. Frank has been driving the van for 20 years, starting the rounds at Bigge Park Liverpool, he than goes to Edwin Wheeler Ave on the corner of Maxwell and Cartwright Avenues, Miller before finishing at Mannix Parade Warwick Farm. Our club has been a long time supporter of Frank’s service and he was one of three promoted causes for Fund raising at our Golf Day. The Funds raised from our Golf Day have then been added to from other Fundraising activities throughout the year.

PhD Scholar: Rayan Saleh Moussa will present on ‘The Role of Metals for Treatment of Cancer’ - and development of novel anti-tumour agents for the treatment of melanoma".
Rayan is supervised in her studies by Professor Des Richardson at the University of Sydney, of whom our club has been a long time supporter.
Dr Zaklina Kovacevic B.Med.Sc. (Hon I), Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Researcher, Department of Pathology, is then a co-supervisor of Rayan and will also provide a short complimenting presentation. Guests then include: Prof Des Richardson and Kelly Martinez, Research Officer from Australian Rotary Health, whom will present a plaque to Rayan on this night. Tues 17 June 2011 – Vietnam Vision Fundraiser Dinner – Crystal Palace 219 Canley Vale Rd, Canley Heights, 7 pm
Entertainment will highlight the Talents of young Vietnamese in the Cabramatta area. Funds raised on the night will be used to perform eye cataract and Dental operations on poor persons in rural and remote Vietnam. The VVP Trip in 2011 will take place between 23 July and 6 Aug. A Members only night, the agenda will likely focus on the year ahead, with a new President set to rule the roost from 16 July, while the old Rooster is set to become a feather duster.
Tues 28 June 2011 – Glenfield Park School – Carolyn O’Connor – LCC, 6 for 6.30 pm
Carolyn O’Connor, a member of the Rotary Club of Liverpool and teacher at Glenfield Park School will join us on Tuesday Night 28 June 2011 as our guest speaker together with School Principal Karen Willis and is seeking help with refurbishing the school located at Roy Watts Rd Glenfield NSW.
Glenfield Park School is a School for Specific Purposes that provides an educational alternative for forty-two students from the ages of seven to sixteen years who have a mild level of intellectual deficit together with high support needs due to severe emotional or behavioural disorders and learning difficulties.
Tues 5 July 2011 – Casula Physical Culture Club – Linda Whyte – LCC, 6 for 6.30 pm
Now in its second year of operation, Linda will come to our club to give us an update. Last year our club sponsored the programme assisting in the subsidisation of the cost of members from families that struggle financially.

Entertainment will be a variety of Attractive & Talented Female Singers with a Talented Backing Band. We will be in the main Function Room of the Liverpool Catholic Club, with ticket costs of $65.00 including a 2 course meal, beer, wine, soft drinks & Entertainment. Sun 21 Aug 2011 - Australian Welsh Choir – Casula Power House – 2 pm - $30.00 pp
The Rotary Club of Liverpool Greenway and Rotary Club of Liverpool will be holding a concert of the Australian Welsh Choir at the Powerhouse on 21st August, instead of the Art Show. Tickets will be $30.00 and bookings will be made through the Powerhouse. The commencement time is 2pm. Savouries and drinks will be served after the show at approximately 4.30pm. The two Rotary clubs will be doing the catering the same as when we had the Art Show.
It is indeed a very special event to have the Choir come to Liverpool and they were booked over 2 years ago, due to the demand of their services. It has been suggested by the Powerhouse that Liverpool and Greenway Clubs pre book tickets for their members by 1st June to save disappointment.
