Meeting 18 February 2020
We had apologies from Jim Rudling, Geoff Gibbs and Peter Beadle and welcomed potential member Sonny Hoang for his second meeting.
The night was an informal fellowship night and members discussed the upcoming trip to Narromine and approved a draft budget for this project providing for:
Distribution of Easter Eggs to Pre School and Primary School Students;
Funding End of Term BBQ’s for High School Students;
Contributing to School Hardship Funds;
Providing Drought Relief Vouchers;
Support local support organisations; and
Other possible areas that are suggested.
The program is follows:
Thursday, 2 April 2020 – Travel to Narromine;
Friday, 3 April 2020 – School visits to distribute Easter Eggs and make other presentations;
Saturday, 4 April 2020 – Possible Farm Visits; then
Sunday, 5 April 2020 – Return to Liverpool.
If you are joining the team and require accommodation at the Caravan Park please contact Ted Mlynarz as soon as possible and he will make the bookings if you plan the stay at the motel you will need to make your own arrangements.
Community Service Director Shiva Nandan confirmed that he had sourced the special shoulder orthosis requested by Liverpool Hospital Brian Injury Rehabilitation Unit to assist a patient who was involved in a motor cycle accident.

On 10 March 2020 Noor Jarbou will be guest speaker. Noor is the recipient of an Australian Rotary Health Research Scholarship co-funded by our Club.

Chief Superintendent Adam Whyte has invited Club Members to visit Liverpool City Police Command for a Vocational visit and tour of the facilities. Meet at the Police Centre, George Street, Liverpool at 6:30pm. We will have dinner at Club Liverpool (opposite) following the tour. Members and Partners/Guests are welcome.
Cops and Kids Touch Football – Thursday, 9 April 2020
Brown’s Farm Reserve. First Avenue, Hoxton Park. From 9:30 to 2 pm. The Police arrange all the sausages, onions, bread rolls, fruit and water we just need to prepare, cook and serve and be on site around 9:30am finishing up around 2pm with our BBQ Trailer. As in the past members of Liverpool and Liverpool Greenway may also be able to help.
Annual Circus Extravaganza – Friday 29, Saturday 30, and Sunday 31 May 2020 in the Grounds of Bossley Park Sports Club – members will be needed to help on all days with marshalling and Sausage Sizzle.
The 96th Mungery Picnic Racesare set to race again on Sunday 5th October 2020 (October Long weekend). With one of a few dirt race tracks still left of the NSW country racing scene, Mungery's bush atmosphere will be sure to keep all racing enthusiast's entertained throughout the day. Set on the banks of the Bogan River, 40km South of Narromine, our race day includes a six-race programme with the first race starting around 1:45pm. As part of our Drought Relief Efforts we may travel to Narromine to assist the local Club who cater at this event.
