Pride of Workmanship Night Tuesday 29 October 2019 at Mounties

Pride of Workmanship is an approved Rotary project instigated in 1975 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills.
The Pride of Workmanship Program enables managers and members of our community to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognize them for their efforts.
Participating businesses can promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of "Do it once- do it well" throughout their organization and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organization, but the wider community. Nominees of the Pride of Workmanship Program are presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievements.
Objectives of the Program

To promote Vocational Service.

To encourage Pride of Workmanship in all vocations.

To provide employers with an opportunity to recognize employees who display the qualities worthy of an Award.

To encourage favourable employer/employee relationships and a sense of community pride in individual achievement.

To provide an opportunity for Rotary to be involved in the community, particularly the business community.
Nomination forms were emailed to all members on 7 August 2019

The Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a week-long residential personal development program for young people aged 19 to 25, which focuses on yourself, leadership and community. In Rotary District 9675, RYLA aims to:

  • Provide an opportunity for young people to develop a network of resources to facilitate their roles and development
  • Facilitate learning about teamwork, communication, motivation and to develop the leadership skills of young people through experiential workshops
  • Create a greater awareness of social issues affecting young people and
  • Demonstrate Rotary's commitment to young people.
    When and Where is RYLA?
RYLA will be held at YMCA Camp, YARRAMUNDI – Sunday 5th January through Saturday January 11th.  Applications close 30th October 2019 (unless ALL 70x positions are filled).

RYLA assumes that 'leadership' is a diverse and varied concept and any one form or style of leadership is not seen as more important than any other.

ZONE 8 ROTARY CONFERENCE
In September the Zone 8 Rotary Conference will be held in Christchurch New Zealand from 20 – 22 September 2019. The Zone conference is a highlight of the year in our zone and could be described as a bridge between our local conference and the international convention. Previously known as the Zone Institute, this Zone 8 Conference is open to all Rotarians to attend and participate in. You will be able to meet and make new friends and learn more about the amazing work of Rotary. This will also be an opportunity show your support for the people of Christchurch especially after the earthquake, and the recent tragic events that impacted so many people. The breakout groups on Saturday afternoon will also be very special. The President of Rotary International, Mark Maloney and his wife Gay, will be present and Mark will be talking about his vision for the future of Rotary. It promises to be a great weekend. I would urge you to attend, below are the links to register. www.rotaryoceania.zone/page/rotaryzone8conference.
