CONVICTION is the inspirational true story of a sister's unwavering devotion to her brother; taking 18 years out of her life in an attempt to prove his innocence after he is charged with murder.

“From little things, BIG things grow"
What was planned as a small and quiet Rotary Xmas get together, consisting of Rotary club and Satellite club members and partners, ended up with a crowd in excess of 100 attending the function!

By the 14th December we had 1003 official members. This has given us one year’s grace. It is inevitable that we will be part of a major re-districting as of 1 July 2013. Many discussions are taking place and a plan must be to R.I. by 15th March. I will keep you informed re developments.

Currently, a dedicated website and telephone number has been set up, and tax deductibility for donations through a specific bank account will be available. The Toowoomba-based group is also liaising on a daily basis with Flood Coordination Centres in all affected areas in a bid to best match local requirements with the wide-ranging resources available through Rotary Clubs Australia-wide.
Whilst not primarily a first response relief organisation, many Rotarians are at present actively involved in clean-ups, emergency accommodation and supplies and supplying meals for displaced families and relief helpers.

We thank our good friend Too for bringing us into her home, introducing us to her family and to members of the Rotary club of Nakhon Phanom. We did more than I mentioned at every day is memorable. Too succeeded in endearing all to us and I don’t believe she could have done any better an itinerary in the time provided without sacrificing the feeling of bringing us into her home. We were also very pleased to catch up with Koy and meet her friends, who came a long way for a short while. Koy was also wearing a coat Doris gave to her in 2006.

Rayan Saleh Moussa has been awarded the PhD scholarship for the study of "THE ROLE OF METALS FOR THE TREAMENT OF CANCER AND DEVELOPMENT OF NOVEL ANTI-TUMOUR AGENTS FOR THE TREATMENT OF MELANOMA".

Rayan will be supervised by in these studies by Professor Des, Richardson at the University of Sydney.

The aim of the research project is to examine the development of novel drugs for the treatment of melanoma.
